Techni Ice (or other name brands) have been around for a long time - people swear by them!!! And to have lasted so long, must be a good product. Less messy than ice, and easier to transport - one thing though, if you take them camping, how do you get them cold again, if you don't have a freezer??? Just a thought.

I use "ICE TECH" when needed instead of ice and find it really good. I don't use it in a real good ice box only a soft sided one but do get a full day just sitting on top of the goodies instead of wrapped around as suggested by the manufacturer. With a good name and quality box and as suggested by the manufacturer you would get 3-4 days for sure, maybe more.
They come in sheets and store flat until you place them in water to swell up then you just keep them in your freezer until each use.
Great idea.
