Rocky's headin' south

Gday...

Just in case anyone is interested - I am headin' south from Kinka Beach (near Emu Park/Yeppoon QLD) tomorrow (Tuesday 6 Nov).

Anticipated route will be Capricorn Hwy, Leichardt Hwy through to Goondiwindi and then down the Newell to Dubbo to have the Landy serviced. Now that is themost direct route and the longest term plan I have had for a long time - driven by the need for Landy service in 1,200km biggrin

I have no idea of my timeframe - it could take me two, three or four weeks - depending on my mood, where I camp and perhaps the weather.

If I am gonna be passing your door, or ya could be in my vicinity, and ya wanna have a chat, give me a hoy.

Cheers - John

Am heading to Dubbo in the next few days via Tamworth. Plan on spending a few days there - wild life park a must I am told.
Had a wonderful visit with Valnrob in Baradine today. Lovely kiwi couple.

Will keep an eye on your progress......

Teramungamine Reserve just west of Brocklehurst is the place to stay (free camp) close to Dubbo, alternatively Mendooran is pretty good as well although further away.  If you feel the urge, we're at Gulgong - visitors always welcome

Two places I'll probably never get to stay John, considering home base is only an hour from Dubbo & Mendooran is in between the two lol. We'll only be back in this area each summer visiting those of my kids still local, then following the sun around the rest of the mainland catching up with the rest of our combined families
