Ashley Gardens, Braybrook, Melbourne - Spirit of Tasmania ferry

We have just stayed at Ashley Gardens Caravan Park, Braybrook, Melbourne prior to boarding Spirit of Tasmania for our trip to Tasmania and highly recommend it. The cost is $52 per night but there is a CMCA member discount - possibly other discounts as well.

The office staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us details of the bus services and written instructions for driving to the ferry.

The caravan park is in a convenient location for getting to the ferry and also for catching buses into Melbourne city and there is a shopping centre next door.

The amenities are clean and in good order, there is a pool, spa, games room etc.and it was quiet.

Because we were travelling on the night ferry and did not have to get to the ferry terminal until about 6pm, and the CP checkout time is 10am, we left our motorhome at the CP for $10 on our last day and travelled into the MCG and did a guided tour which helped to fill in the day before we sailed. $10 is not much to pay for peace of mind and not having to worry about where to stop or park before boarding the ferry.
