Left Biggy this morning for a slow relaxing drive 200 ks south to Kumbia. Stopped at Wondai at the park there for lunch. Not sure if it was Apex or Lions. They have a food van there. Had a huge salad sandwich and iced coffee.
Once again a nice spot here, had Happy Hour with 3 couples, everyone is so friendly on the road.
Relaxing not and off to bed soon. Before dark it got very windy and grey outside, thought it might have turned into a storm as son txt to say Biggy had a thunderstorm go through, but didn't last for long.

Great to see HW. No matter which way you decide to go, stay safe & enjoy the trip. Previous offer still stands if you decide to come via Gulgong or if you go via Pilliga, definitely try the bore baths. They are really worth doing.

Hi Marg Hope you have a safe trip, hopefully we may get to meet up in the future. We are heading south around the 16th Nov.Have not worked out a definite route yet,but planning on going to the Southern Highlands,Cowra,Greens Lake,Echuca & Mildura. As mentioned we have not fully decided which way we will go first.
What happened to the weather. Sitting here still at Kumbia waiting for it to calm down. Rained all night, freezing cold. first time I've been cold in 6 months. Blowing a gale and very grey. I'm only going as far as Cecil Plains so may leave after lunch, if this wind dies down. No Hurry, No worries. I've plugged into the power to charge phone and laptop. Two of the couples have moved on. Had a chat to the ones left this morning. Everyone including the couple who don't like talking obviously have taken shelter in their vans. Must go get a photo next time I go outside. Hope to be at Greens Mid November sometime. Intend being at daughters in Echucas by the 15th for a few days.

If thats Brisbane Jules, Remind me never to go near it. Look at all those roads. I will stick to the country roads.
Hi H.W
At present we are camped at Nanango. Yes it is cold and wet here to. We hope to stay at Kambia in a few days as we head south. It looks to be a very nice camp site.
Rastas
You will be just behind me rastas. Had a couple stop here for lunch today from Nanango. Out sunday driving, had their dog with them.
Moving on tomorrow, will stop for a shop in Dalby before heading to Cecil Plains. Does anyone know of a good op shop in Dalby. May have to buy some winter clothes.
Wasn't me NeilnRuth, haven't been there. Might have been Beth. The camp has filled up again tonight after the others left this morning. A huge red bus came in this afternoon, parked right on the end as no way would it have got into any of the parks. Since then 2 caravans have come in taking up the spaces left by the others who left. I have finished my book so bacvk on the road tomorrow, raining or not.
Caravans are certainly on the road again. We went past Waldron's Swamp (which is 6km north of Moruya on the south coast NSW) today and it was packed. Just a rest area with drop toilets. At least 10 or more vans crammed in.
Stopped at Cecil Plains at lunch time. After filling my water bottles and chatting to a couple I had parked next to at Kumbia, decided to move on. Too early in the day and the flies were a nuisance. Arrived here at Texas by 3pm. Very relaxing sitting here by the river. Not sure if it has any water, can't see any from here.
We are heading home (Newcastle) and are currently in West Wyalong, heading up the Newell, and will turn east at Dubbo this afternoon, intending to spend tonight in Dunnedoo.
I'm at Tookeys Creek Rest stop half way between Moree and Narrabri. Came down from Texas today through Warialda to Moree and then south. Had rain, wind and flies. Sitting inside on computer as that many flies out there, I'm sure if I let them they would all join Grey nomads. Will make Coonabarabran tomorrow lunchtime. Then on to Gilgandra for the night I'm the only one here at the moment but with toilets here I'm sure it will fill up in the next couple of hours.
Was early enough to go further south but just too tired.
