Free Showers in Queensland

Hello

I am looking for a website that has a list of free showers in Queensland.

NSW list is found at http://www.australiasomuchtosee.com The lists are dump points, laundromats, showers, and water.

I can't find a site that lists QLD like this one does.

Can anyone help me?

Cheers, Elspeth.

Try googling "Public" showers instead of free... most of 'em seem to charge a dollar or 2.

Camps 6 (Camps Australia Wide - Camps 7 due out around Feb/Mar 2013 or do free online updates, including new editions, which have some changes by the time they hit the shelves).

That will tell you where the free camps and showers are.   I quite often use Roadhouses with showers from time to time, free for truckies but a small fee for other travellers.

Haven't come a across a definitive list but i have used all of these to get info

Web Sites -

The National Public Toilet Map

http://www.toiletmap.gov.au/default.aspx This also has info on showers and dump points.

I searched Texas and got 4 toilets, 2 showers and a dump point.

Motorhome Dump Points

http://www.dumppoints.com/

These apps are good too - both can be updated so if you use them make sure that you add to them so the info is out there for everyone.

Free - Show the Loo

https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/show-loo-only-toilets-in-australia/id299496509?mt=8

This one does have a shower icon but not many have it highlighted.

Paid - Wiki Camps - $2.99

http://www.wikicamps.com.au/

Has great info on campsite (and some day use area) facilities including water and toilets and has lots of dump points listed.

Also, has Tourist Info Centres listed, often with phone numbers.

Some info may be incorrect/out-of-date as it is a Wiki.

Laundromat info is a little harder to find, any laundries listed in WikiCamps are usually associated with CP's

For laundromats I would probably just use the White Pages and search the area i am in

http://www.whitepages.com.au/

Hope some of this info helps

Cheers

Chris

Hello Gerty and Chris,

Thanks for the tip. I did and found The National Public Toilet Register.

I put in my planned trip and they came up with a suggested route with all the public toilets.

Can't say thank you enough, Ellimay.

Wow!
Thanks for the quick responses. I will certainly try the websites.
Being new to internet forums, I didn't know how long it would take to gather another post. I think this is great.
Cheers, Ellimay.
