Hi Folks, well after being delayed with back problems for more than 8 months I'm ready once again to hit the road. Hopefully departing 5th or 6th of October
Back problems necessitated a change of rigs. Now running an '87 2.7 diesel auto poptop campervan. Solar gear from the Navara has been transferred to the Urvan, however had to remove 1 panel as it was too heavy for me to lift the poptop. Still have the 2 x 105 amp hour AGM batteries, so plenty of capacity to run what I want to.. Rig is the normal Dove conversion. 70 litres of water. all LED auxillary lighting, with extra 12 volt outlets and a small 300 watt invertor for minor extras.... computer charging , phones small fans and 19" LED tv.
This time heading east via Streaky Bay to Broken Hill , Wilcannia, Cobar , Bourke , Longreach and over to Yeppoon. I would appreciate any info on good camps from Streaky Bay on. Will start return Journey around April after celebrating the completion of my youngest (7 year old) grandsons lukemia treatment/
Will post pics of new rig in the next couple of weeks
