Arrived at Claude Wharton Weir late morning after a later start off and drivng the 44kms. This is a picturesque spot and currently have my yabby trap out hoping for a result. Did some fishing earlier with no fish caught and little consolation that others failed to catch also. Did some swimming but kept my head above water in case it was water that caused my conjunctivitis problem after Rollingstone. Had an excellent afternoon mixing with fellow travellers and starting to meet up with some who had been to the same places previously. There is drinking water here and flushing toilets together with several table/chair covered setups. John

I have had another day here at the weir, meeting up with a couple that I spent happy hours with in Rollingstone as well as some others who stayed over.
More fishing with the same result but the yabby pot is still in the weir but this time a change of bait, one of the campers half cooked up some potato & pumpkin having been told that it works some time.
Anyway will be off today possibly staying only 3kms away in Gayndah, will decide when I see the place.
