I have a Hino 145 which is the marrow Hino and it has a problem if Japanese in that it has a bad habit of rocking when disturbed in a bend or on rough road but is corrected by replacing the 32mm sway bay with an after market 42mm one.
There are many Hino's around for sale at various times. Some have their tares down rated for car licenses and some are original tare and need a heavier license such as LR or better
As far as facilities it is every persons choice. I live full time in mine and have taken the option of the lithium batteries and solar, I am very happy with the options available. I run full 240v including a induction stove, fridge, HW etc so the money I saved by using a 240v fridge paid for the batteries.
There are many who will knock the batteries but then again they have never seen them and base their wisdom of google searches.
There are lithium and then there are lithiums so be wary of your purchases. Can not go into the differences here as it is not a topic for open forums due to the fights it will cause.
The best advise for choosing a vehicle is to look at your current life style and experiences and work out what suits YOU.
We have people on this forum very happy with their small caravans and campers and thats beaut as why use a semi trailer when a mini will do.
The larger the vehicles cant get where the small ones can. The smaller ones cant carry the goodies the big ones can.
You need to think very long on what you consider the level of traveling / comfort you wish to do and then look around for what is required to satisfy this need.
Concerning the places to stay, some people only stay in caravan parks and some only stay in independent camp sites and some combine both. Some start one side and then drift the other and thats the choice we all should have.
Keep looking and asking and I hope you will find the mode that suits you.
Regards Brian
