good idea, I came across a bloke who used rubber strips, but they smelled ,this one  is better.

Great idea. If they were soaked in citronella candle wax they would also provide some protection from mossie bites for a while!

I have used cotton balls with petroleum jelly and that works too. Not sure of the burn time though.

We put our used teabags in a screw-top jar with kerosene in it .

The best , easiest and cheapest fire lighters I've come across . smile

We also use the teabag and kero for firelighting ,just need to make sure the bags are dried before putting them in the kero.

Tea bags for me too only stored in metho (byproduct of my homemade rum).
Also Twisties (cheesesnacks) work well.
