OMG Fellow forumites. The day I thought would never come HAS ARRIVED.

We are off on our 1st real trip.  YAAAAAAAY biggrin  biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

David, myself (Kathy) and our black c o c k er spaniel Jack are heading off to Cairns.

David will be working his way up So we have a rough timetable to keep to.

Have to stay in Caravan Parks when he is working but will be free camping when he isn't.

At this stage we'll be away at least two weeks but could be up to 4.

Not much I know, but at least it's a start. Have done our homework regarding dog friendly

Caravan Parks and booked. Car is having timing belt done and

 there will be two new tyres for van and Uhf fitted to car  tomorrow.

Feel free to give any tips you think might be helpful.

Maybe we'll be lucky to meet up with some fellow travellers

What is the route you will be taking, roughly as far as you know for now. There might be Grey Nomads in the region who can look out for you.

Thank you. Yeppoon,  (Mon- Wed) .Mackay (Thurs)  , Ayr,  Townsville and Cairns (Sun-Wed).

David will catch up with customers on the way back down that he missed 1st time round.

Have now arrived in Yeppoon after an excruciating drive through klm after klm of stop start roadworks. Looking forward to meeting up with Sheba (Gayle) tomorrow.Woohoo, I am just a bit excited
