Heading Off on a 'Dam' Trip

Counting down to when we hit the road again for our trip to Bjelke Peterson Dam ( SE Qld) in October - anyone in the area, we shall be at Yallakool Caravan Park. If we aren't out fishing, you can bet the kettle will be on!

Enjoy, June! It will be a nice change for you to be away in good weather!

Thanks kandagal for the offer - I know we have taken some 'strange' routes to places, eg Canberra via Lightning Ridge! But for this trip I think Goombungee will be a little out of our way. Pete has an old army buddy living there, however it has been some time since we have visited the area - one day.

We have been doing a dam/weir/river crawl from Winton and are now at Claude Wharton weir at Gayndah. Cannot believe the amount of great free or low cost camps available in QLD - some free with hot showers.
