Duaringa between Emerald and Rockhampton

Here I am at Duaringa with internet reception.......WOW.......

This is a huge area given over to the travelling public to camp for two nights, there is an information centre, running water, flushing toilets and hot showers. Not such a busy place as Bedford Weir although there were quite a few campers spread around the treed edges of the park. I will make this into an overnight stopover and continue on tomorrow.
Nearby there is a huge colony of bats and no doubt later on there will be plenty of noise as they emerge at night to find food. The other advantage of this site is that there are shopping opportunities in walking distance.             JohnDuaringa+002.JPG

Very nice and welcoming, thanks for the pics John. I hope you get a peaceful night with the bats feeding elsewhere.

Looks like a very friendly place John.  Love the Bat Pic.  Will have to check it out next time I go out to the Gemfields.  I've only ever come straight through before.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Looks a good spot John - I think there were some GN's there the other day.
See you soon.
