I read a book once about people being 'skin hungry'. We can give each other a hug (which is good) but what people are really hungry for is the touch of another person. Especially if we are hurting or grieving. Just a hand held or a gentle hug that really still makes contact. Some might not admit it but most need it.
Do you know neilnruth - truer words were never spoken, when I lost my husband, the thing I craved most was a hug from a man! Plenty of women hugged me, but somehow it just wasn't the same - get lots of manly hugs now!!
