Yep, I'm here. After a two hour delay departing Melbourne I finally arrived at 9.30pm Friday night. I spent the night, well early morning, like from 1.00am Sat shivering in bed. I was cold and wasn't prepared for the cold but I am now and last night I was as warm as toast.
The delay in Melbourne was due to the captain refusing to leave as a engine light was on and shouldn't have been, nice captain. A normally 3 hour flight seemed to only take 21/2 hours, I think the captain had a bit of lead in his shoe and more than likely run all red lights up there. The road was smooth until we got about 45 mins out of Townsville and they got a bit bumpy but not too bad, we must have been flying above the Bruce highway perhaps.
I had a quick catch up and chat to John (yeoeleven) what a great and interesting person to talk with. His experience of traveling solo and "free camping" was, well, very experienced, look forward to catching up with him again on Monday. Thanks John. I will also pop a thanks in the Solo section on this forum.
I'm not sure what my daughters have planned for today so will find out soon I spose. The two grandchildren are excited to have their Aunty and Poppy here at the same time.
Have fun everyone out in the playground, I am but just not in my Avan this trip. See you out there.

G'day Greg, I sent you a Pm a few weeks back but have not heard back, I thought you must have been away with no mod cons. Not sure what has gone wrong then.
I am meeting up with Chris and John at the same place as last time 10am tomorrow, more the better.
