Despite that, S'set is extremely popular especially at the weekend & holidays, especially with the power boat, ankle biter & boom box community. The red claw love it too, millions of them there along with the despicable trap robbers.
You can buy 'your own' cabin (or a long term lease) there now for $150,000? and stay there for over 200 days/year for a monthly fee. I have been told that they let it out for the remainder of the time & you might have to work round their bookings, but haven't confirmed this bit .. If you are remotely interersted, look at their web site for the details.

True, and a whole lot cheaper than a lot of other places. I've seen that section of Somerset, but it doesn't appeal to me at all. Too noisy. That's interesting about the cabins. There's something like that with some beach 'shacks' at Palm Beach, between Woodgate and Cooonarr. People I know have a share in one. The beach is a great place to camp, but a 4WD is needed.
