Townsville caravan park?


Has anyone got a good recommendation for a nice quiet, ROOMY site in Townsville? We re going today for about a week. Thanks a bunch

Hi Homer - re "what does this mean" - go to the top right hand corner of this topic, where your name is - click it open and you will see a listing on the left hand side, one of which is "signature" - you have typed the words in there - you can change it - and put something else there if you like.

As to caravan parks, Townsville - Town and Country, at the showgrounds, Kings Street, is pretty cheap (compared to others in the area) - not flash, but ok for a few days - walk to Castletown shopping centre, and easy access to the city along Ingham Road - don't know about Cairns -prefer not to stay there - head up to Mareeba, the Rodeo Grounds are pretty cheap they tell me, and quite ok. Tablelands CP is also another reasonable priced one in Mareeba.
