Chatsworth Park 6kms north of Gympie

Set off north today and covered the 250kms to Chatsworth Park Camps6 #144 without incident arriving early afternoon and the place was busy, all the recognised camping sites were taken and I had to do with a place in the carpark. Not to worry this is a very nice camping area, not a place to stay for a few nights it is right on the highway with considerable road noise but the facilities are good.
I have set a budget for this trip of $50 per day and with a full larder and no overnight fees 250kms per day is achievable. So if I travel less and continue to find free camping I will be able to live easily within the budgetted $50 per day. Good job I don't need cigarettes or beer or the budget would be impossible.   JohnChatsworth+Park+006.JPG

Hi Vic,

it looks like one in the pic but no just to keep us off selected areas. Won't keep up the 250kms a day, tomorrow looks like only 60kms and an easy day. Just the day for a Senior Citizen's Afternoon Napsmilebiggrin

SCAN sounds good John, glad that fence is not electric, someone having a night time tinkle against the fence might get more than they bargained for, not that they should be doing it there (or one of the pets maybe!).....

heya mate.....wots yer hurry.....1700ks a week is a lot of travelling.    Slow down a bit......spend a couple days in one spot......snooze in the sun etc.  Is so easy to get sucked into the move on....move on mode. You take great pics too.

I have been here nearly 3 weeks.  Have to move on Thursday as I have house sitting other wise I would stay here for at least another pay.

No way did I say that I would be travelling 250kms per day, I did say that it could be achieved on the budget.

Today I travelled 50kms only and tomorrow will be 130kms.
