Going to pick up our new home next Thursday, very excited, hubby has seen it, but I haven't yet.  The lovely owners are driving it from NSW to Ceduna, so we only have to drive from Kalgoorlie to pick it up.

Yes it is different, it is a home built van 22ft long I think, then expands the bedroom to make it 25ft. I tried uploading inside pics, but they are too big to load, I don't know how to make them smaller. The inside is gorgeous, and has been built to a very high standard, when you see inside it looks like something you would see on a yacht. It even has portholes in the lounge. the lounge extends out the side and has a two seater leather recliner. The cupboards inside are all tasmanian oak fronts double expoxied to give a nice shine and hard wearing. It absolutely has everything we could want and need as we expect to be on the road for at least the next 10 years or so.If someone could tell me how to make my pics smaller, I could download some.

Thanks everyone

Eils

Open up your picture (in my case in Microsoft Office Picture Manager).
Click on Edit Pictures.
Select Compress Picture (under change picture size).
Select Compress Picture for web pages.
Click OK.
Save the change.
See how that goes.

one problem with resizeing is that everybody does not have the same software, I often use PhotoBucket or my main resize option is PSP.

here's a free resize program that is easy to use

http://www.faststone.org/

scroll down to faststone photo resizer

Yes, I think we will stand out in a crowd!  Hoping to start treavelling next January or February, can't wait to catch up with some of you lovely travellers in the near future.  Please come and say G'day if you see us.  All we need now is a heavy duty vehicle to tow it.  Hubby is still looking.  Thankyou to everyone for your lovely comments.  Only 3 more sleeps........

Hi Wild Bull, it is a home-made rig, made by the owners who are selling it to us, it was built in 2010 and he has made a wonderful job of it, high quality fittings all throughout.  There are photo's of the interior in this post just above.

Cheers

Hi everyone, well finally made it back to Kalgoorlie with our new home. bit of a nightmare journey, as you can see from the pic, the front end of the Patrol is up in the air and the front of the van is almost touching the ground!! Didn't realise our tow ball was set too low for this monster of a van! Nothing we could do about it till we get the tow ball lifted. Just took it nice and easy. Had two nights of free camping along the Eyre Highway and met some lovely people. Can't wait to get on the road again.

RE: Our New Home sagging Patrol.

Gday all,

I am new to this site and preparing to get into the grey nomad roll, as soon as we finish our overseas trip to USA tomorrow we plan to be on the road in Aus within 18 months.

Regarding the saging patrol, here is a little trick my father who is now 85, used on his Ford Maverick (nissan Patrol).

He towed a 20ft viscount all over the place for work and pleasure for years.

24 tennis balls inside each of the rear coils works fine and no problems with sway or sagging. load control bars used as well but no other mods to the rear suspension at all.

It gives nice progressive weight control as well. Warning !!! don't use cricket balls.

I used them in my VR Commodore Aclaim with the independant rear end, 12 each side, VT uses 14 each side.

It stopped rear tyre wear fro 12,000 km to 80,000 km. $10 fro Clints crazy bargains, not hundreds from suspension places, no air shocks either.

Easy to fit on the road if any happen to bust, just carry a few spares.

We hope to meet you all on the big lap one day.

Ian and Lizzy
