Broken Hill?

WE were there at Easter........if you want cheap then try Silverland or the Showgrounds. The best one is out on the Adelaide Road, but also the most expensive..your choice.

We were there in May. TT on Adelaide Rd is under new management. It is the dearest as mentioned above. $30 for smallest site. We paid $35 for bigger one (not given choice). Both these on bark chips. You pay more for grass if there is one left. Remember you get discount if you are a TT member. There is one at Cobar end of town but it is ?? according to locals and there is a third but it is mostly residents. Then there is the Racecourse (don't think showgrounds) at $25 for power and toilets - no showers. Locals are now suggesting the one out at Silverton but that depends on how you feel about travelling in to BH. Enjoy Broken Hill.

I normally stay at Lake View CP but have read so many good reports lately on Silverland and that will be my choice in the future.

If you want cheap try the racecourse - $15 a night, power and water.

Have fun.

keep your eye out for any reindeer in town....  ashamedashamed

I was there two weeks ago and saw one running up the street at 8am in the morning.  A number of us saw it and a local said he had never seen such a sight like that - the deer must have been frightened by dogs or something.

It was a nice looking animal with antlers.

Enjoy your time in Broken Hill - it is a real nice town.  smile

Bamboo do you realise you are posting on old threads? No problem if people want to read the new info but the person has probably been and gone from Broken Hill long ago. Hehe.

I reckon silverton is a funner place to stay than broken hill. think only 20 K's down the road. Silverton pub is fun little place and the john dynon art gallery is not to be missed.
