For those who are travelling the Barrier Highway from Broken Hill to Cobar/Nyngan or reverse  the rest area at Meadow Glen (Camps 6, NSW 1057) is excellent in dry weather (fair bit of red bulldust). It is deep enough to get back off the road. There is a toilet and shelter over a table. During the cooler months it's OK to have a fire. We had a pleasant night there along with 12 others.
