AYR, QLD - Burdekin Cascades CP

Hi, The friendliest CP I have been to and helpful. I drove in about 5.00pm and the guy, Tony, noticed that I had desal spray on the side of my bus. Booked me in and said that he would help investigate it in the morning.  In the morning he wasnt on duty but had discused it with the other guy there (also Tony) and he came over and checked it out for me. Desal all over the engine department too. On statrting the engine found the problem. Then took the leaky fuel line out rang round. Drove me to the wreckers to get a replacement (not the right one) then tried desal places around town (most shut due to it being race day weekend). Found a place to silver solder it for me. When I went back to pick it up (turned out to be close by) he helped refit it and bleed the desal line.

All Fixed.    I havent had the bus for long and they were happy to help.

They only have been at the park for less than a year and said it was pretty run down when they took it over. You wouldnt know by looking at it now.

Doug

Sounds like some of these parks who have new owners are really trying to shine. Great.

I forgot to put that its $26 per night for a powered site. Maybe a bit high for those that like free camping or showgrounds.

I would regard $26 for a park of this standard to be quite good value for money.
