Night time visit

Sent the dogs out for a wee after midnight last night, and when the came back, one of them refused to settle. He kept jumping on the bed ( and I kept shoving him off). I ordered him to his bed (and he wouldn't go).

Eventually, he was so persistant and rubbed himself against my hand, and I felt a claw where I claw shouldn't be.

Suddenly I was wide awake, and the light snapped on!

Something was on his belly. I rolled him over, and there was a baby ringtail possum, clinging hard to his belly!!!

Poor baby!

took the baby possum outside wrapped in a towel, and left him for his mum to find.

luckily, this morning he was gone, and his mum had found him.

he was so tiny, he fitted in my cupped hands.

Yeah Janette, he was gone the next morning, and our posssum family were back in the trees the following evening.

So, it's all good.
