Didnt set out to buy a camper but could not pass up the price of a little campamatic last week being offered very cheap so the better half and myself took it for a quick week end up to wedge island and it was fantastic so easy to put up and take down, so it just goes to show some times you can have a win keep safe all Red Dog.
Hi happy wonderer yes I do mean small it is a hard top camper opens out to a queen bed and about the same floor space when it is closed it looks so tinny and my challenger doesnt know it is there, which is great with the rising cost of fuel havent taken any pics yet but will do shortly cheers Red Dog.
It doesn't matter how tiny or big your rig is at least it is yours and you can come and go as you please. Just look at my rig in the AV. It was a talking point at Lakes Entrance over the weekend that's for sure. I love it though. Poor little thing everyone was picking on it. BIG BULLIES.

Reminds of a interesting sight I saw coming up to Qld on the Newell. Three touring motorbikes overtook me. They were all 3 wheelers, each had two people on them and each towed a little camper trailer. It amused me greatly and wish I was stopped so I could have taken photos. They also had UHF40 as I could hear them talking behind me as they were about to overtake and I was moving out of their way.
Mine is sold now Milo, but this will show you a bit more. It's an American brand, but there are several similar ones available in Australia these days.

one was in the caravan park in Bendigo the other day. its amazing the size of the set up camper that comes out of a bike trailer.
Douque we have the same van as you and I wish I had a dollar for everyone that wanted to have a look at it great little things aren't they and people often say how can two of you live in it but we don't when on the road we live outside the van is for sleeping in and comfortable enough for us to have a game of cards if the weather turns nasty also the annexe is as big as the van anyway. Helena.

I only have the awning Helena but it has all the zips if I decide to get the walls at some stage but I am happy with it as is. I actually made a reno to the inside front as I found I didn't use the table but wanted more bench space. I have attached a photo.
They are so easy to tow Milo, I tow mine with a 4 cyl car without any problems and it only takes a few minutes to pop it up and down again, just like unfolding an envelope lol so easy to hitch up too.
Thats a good idea Dougwe for more bench space, my sportliner is a different set up I have bench space right across the front with draws and cupboards and my table is alongside the bed at the other end where if needed it can be pushed down and made into a double bed but I've found the single bed is heaps big enough for me (there's not much of me lol)
I bought mine 2nd hand and it came with an awning and annex but found the annex is quite heavy so I haven't actually tried to attach it I have just used the awning
Have been trying to upload some pics but just wont work for me so will try again in a couple of days. I didnt buy this camper as our main traveller I also have a Jayco Swan, this little unit was brought as a toy because of the price and a quick get away. cheers all Red Dog

I often have trouble uploading photos, but I've learnt that they load quickly in the middle of the day. After lunch some time, when the 'lines' aren't so busy.
are we ok to hijack red dogs post in this part of the forum? by the way Dough , how are the avans for towing and putting up , packing up?
It only takes 30 seconds Milo to pop up and 30 seconds to bring down again. I had an audience when I did mine the weekend just gone and all there were in shock as to how easy and quick it all happened. The "Sporliner" is the baby of the range and has a tow ball weight of 65kg but when I checked it it was actually 85kg, still good though and a GVM of around 850kg, not all that heavy at all. The next size up Avan Camper is heavier both ways.
