Oh no, thanks Marj. Elle sounded a lovely person and the few chats I had with her were always interesting and encouraging. My thoughts are with her family and friends at this horrible time. RIP Elle.

I was trying to catch up over easter, had trouble getting to perrys beach as planned. Its a shock as I was talking to her(via messages) just prior to easter. Yes she had imformed me of her health issues but I was led to believe Elle was travelling ok given the circumstances. R.I.P Ellen forever the positive one with respect blaze
Oh, how very sad - had heard she was not well - but she never complained, always cheerful on the site - like Sheba, my thoughts are with her family and friends.

R.I.P. Elle, condolances to your family and friends.
Yes, Elle and I were in contact by pm and emails and I was aware of her illness, but I thought she was getting along ok with the treatment, she will be sadly missed by all.
I didn't know Elle but she did sound like a wonderful lady.
This was probably her last post on here-
"Hope you enjoy Ellendale John. I'm stuck in delightful Perth another wonderful story and would much rather be out there with you ferral (and not so ferral) lot but not to be this time".
I'm still in shock myself. The last I heard a week or so back she was in hospital and it wasn't looking good but I thought it was because of the radiation she was going through. Elle was still talking about her trip east and getting work done on the van. What a brave lady. She never mentioned on this forum she was even ill. A few of us had been in private pm with her. I had wished her well not too long ago and hoped to catch up when she got over here. Nobody knows, do they? Make the most of what we've got.
I knew Ellen only through this and a couple of other websites and she was always a strong positive lady. I knew she was ill with cancer but never dreamed that the end was so near. She never did get to realise her dream of travelling with her beloved and beautiful doggy family. Rest in peace Ellen.

So true Marj.........was reading her post about seeing Petula Clarke and how much she enjoyed it , that post was only a week ago, but it does make you realise how we all need a good swift kick up the bum and to be gratful for what we have, and to cherish the time we have with the people we love.
Oh dear, I am so sorry to hear that. I had no idea the end was so near. She didn't ever give up on the dream. Sleep well lovely lady you will be sadly missed. So true a lesson to us all. Live each day as if it's your last. She was ever the positive one. Condolences to her family. Tess
R.I.P. Elle - I never met you either, but know I would've liked you if we had. Makes you think doesnt it, that life is short and we should just follow our dreams while we can.
