Setting off early to get to Denham around 150kms in good time to make a booking at one of the 4 campsites at Shark Bay where you can stay one night free, we looked at the sites and decided that Eagle Bluff was the pick with its sandy beach and easy access. Before arriving in Denham we looked at Shelley Beach where in early days bricks were cut from the compressed shells with saws. We moved on to Denham and visited the Tourist Information Centre, the assistant was very helpful and suggested that if we were going to Monkey Mia the dolphins were fed at 7.45am and we would be better off to stay overnight actually at the resort. She also said that if we called in to the centre tomorrow we can book for that night at Eagle Bluff. The price was $15 per head for an none powered site at Monkey Mia Resort and they could just fit us if if we went straight there, pleased that we did it is really good here for $15, there are all the facilities, a pool, restaurant, laundry, shops and internet if you paid to use theirs (Telstra obviously). I backed up to the grassy oval whilst Steven pitched his tent on the grass. Went across to the beach for a swim on the beautiful sandy beach and luxuriated under a hot shower, this is definitely luxury for $15 per night. Up early for the dolphin feeding and photo opportunity then across to the internet shop with my laptop hopefully to upload the last two days, their internet wasn't working properly so I missed out posting from Monkey Mia. Then off to see a couple of places that Steven has found on the brochures but more on that later.
