That certainly is cheap. We find the prices range from $25 through to $38 just depending where you are. When you need to fill up, you need to. A bit like fuel for vehicle I suppose.

I paid $13.40 for 4kg today at Banners Hardware in Mt Gambier. Last week I paid $12 for the same size at the dive shop in Portland but the best price I've got recently was at the little hardware shop in Creswick (about 15km north of Ballarat) - $11.50.
Its amazing how many different prices there are, quite a range.
Probably because the cost of the gas itself is a minor part of the price. It is the labour that makes it expensive. Some places don't charge as much for labour as others.
I've found it is cheaper to refill, but we keep an eye on the expire date and do a swap when its getting close, still works out cheaper than buying new bottle.
I feel you are spot on there , we always have to look at the big picture I refill now but will change to swap when it get close to retesting of LPG Cylinder

Hi,I have been a member for a few years now but have never posted,so,hi to everybody.I just thought people may be interested to know that I paid $25 for a 4kg gas refill at Babinda hardware store,and no receipt offered.I'm afraid I won't be shopping there again.weetam.
