I have just been contacted by the Pomona Showgrounds secretary who wanted us to let readers know the following:
Pomona show grounds is set only a short walk from Pomona township. It has the views of our famous Mt Cooroora where the famous King of the Mountain race takes place each July. Our show ground facilities cater for small or larger groups in either caravans or camping in tents and has access to hiring a hall or canteen for groups wanting to hold a special meeting or event. We have walking trails to explore and the famous Majestic Silent Movie Theatre, Noosa Museum and a fabulous Art Gallery for those cultural buffs. We have an exceptional Antique shop, Two Old ladies tea shop which serves a fabulous high tea and a few restaurants and food services that can accommodate all needs. We also have numerous points of interest for day trips or half day trips and our Committee is only too happy to assist with information for these excursions to make your stay in Pomona Show grounds a pleasant event.
