That is fantastic Peter.

I am still to take delivery of my slide on camper and, like you, hope to be on the road by June.

Your sense of excitement is obvious.

Best wishes with your preparations.

Lyn

P.S. .... and an Eeeeey Haaaah from me!

Congratulations on all those who have made the decision to travel, I made that decision in December 2010 and set off in August 2011 after going through what you are all experiencing and would not change it for the world.

I hope that you all bring those plans to finality and set off as soon as possible, if you find yourself in close proximity to my posted locations please look me up we will have plenty to talk about.

John

It's an exciting time for so many of you. I feel the anticipation and trepidation. There will be a little niggle when you wonder if you're doing the right thing until the house is actually sold and the money is in your pocket.
Only you can answer that, but if you enjoy travel, hate housework and all the expenses of running a home, this is the life for you.
I didn't really celebrate my departure from Broome in 2007 after 11 years, I just sort of snuck out of town and chucked a right and headed south from Roebuck Roadhouse. I have been celebrating ever since even though I'm tied up in SA for a while.
Keep us posted so we can share your excitement.

cry Bit of a delay in procedings. Had to delay picking up Mr Motorhome till Thursday or maybe even next week. Better to find problems now than later I guess. Only a small problem with awning. At least it proves they are doing a thorough job of predelivery .

Disappointing I know Pete but as you say, better now when it can be fixed for no cost then on the road and causing a big problem. smile

Well it's done now! Just back from taking delivery of Mr Motorhome. Now it seems real with that filling my driveway. Now just sell the house and I'm underway.

Good luck with selling the house Peter. I am nearly ready to put mine on the market. Each day I seem to be getting little signs to tell me it is time to move on and get on with life. Still a little daunting as to what to get rid of and what to keep in storage, however I am confident it will all work out as it should. Must be a great feeling to have your new house sitting in your driveway.

Thanks Fireheart, I understand exactly what you are saying, I am finding hard to decide just what stuff is important for me to keep and what to get rid of. Fortunatly when we demolished old house got rid of heaps of stuff so its not such a huge job this time, only built this house less than 3 yrs ago but a lot of sentimental stuff. Yes it's also great to have the new HOME in the drive, have started adding bits and pieces to it and it feels good :). Still got a lot to do and am hopeing the house sells quickly. Poor Rufus isnt to sure just whats going on with stuff moving around and strangers in HIS house.
