Might be Radium Weed, also known as Petty Spurge, Ma. I think it does the same thing. Here are a couple of Pics.

Quite possibly Sheba but as I said I don't really know and I would hazzard a guess and say that there are probably a dozen different names it is known by just would depend on where you live I guess.

If you have a piccy of it stick it up and I'll have a look and let you know.

Thanks CG, I used it last night but after 10 minutes I had to take it off. it was stinging so badly. I have a very high pain threshold but couldn't put up with this at all.
Still waiitng for a call from the doctor.
Had decided I won't use it again as not worth the risk.

Efudex is supposed to do a slow skin peel, either whole face or just on sun-spots, and after a few weeks the skin gets red and sore and this is what to expect. You have to stay completely out of the sun. But it sounds like your reaction is too severe Marj, wait for that D's advice before you use it again.

Edit: wait for it to heal before using the plants, the sap of petty spurge stings too!

Just went downstairs to get this Pic. for you Marj. It's supposed to be good for Sunspots etc. Can't vouch for it personally, but it won't hurt to try it.

You just break or split the leaf, and rub the juice/sap on.

Lots of people have it in their gardens. It's a Kalanchoe. Google it.

A friend 87 years young, uses a weed that we get in our gardens in Ulladulla, would think it grows most places, he has been using it for decades and his father before him, they were both dairy farmers so out in the sun most of the day, and he swears by it.

He also has the best skin I have seen on any of our senior citizens.

If he gets a dry spot he just breaks off a bit of the weed and dabs it on.

He also is a strong advocate of PawPaw cream (the one in the little red tube or jar) and uses it as a moistureiser on his face and arms EVERY day, probably his legs too I would guess.

His Doctor is amazed that he has never had to "burn" or "incise" a spot on Tom's body anywhere.

When I get home I will take a piccy and post it.

At the moment I wouldn't have a clue what it's called.

Thanks for all the info guys. I was using the pawpaw cream in the red tub/tube for years. Seemed to be going ok at the time. But doc said to try this cream which cost me $56.00 on script.
Will keep an eye out for that plant Sheba, I have seen the top one in gardens here. Its a type of succulent.

I call that 'chickweed'. They say the milk when you break it is what's in the cream. The person who told me said their specialist said 'Don't tell everyone about that. I'll go out of business.' I used it once on a sunspot on my nose. Oh boy! Be careful. It works. I thought I should rub it in. Wherever it went I had a red patch, then a blister and yes, the spot went but it hurt. So be careful, just a small dab of the chickweed milk. Maybe a sunspot on the back of the hand first would be a good trial. I don't know about kalanchoe though.

Yep, that's it N&R...............no you certainly DON'T rub it in. Just dab on and let it dry. Stings/burns for a couple of seconds but once it's dry it's OK and it does work.

Think of all the money you can save on gardeners, you won't have to hire one to weed your garden, maybe we could sell the stuff instead......

I was told the report of my mole removal and biopsy on my ear. The mole had some cells but they're all gone.
The ear on the other hand has the big "C" and the offending part will have to be removed pronto.
It was a bit scary to learn this as all the other bits I've had checked have been clear.
So another mole goes next week, the specialist will look at the ear and decide when the offending bit will be excised. Don't like it.

If anyone is interested, I have posted some photos of before and after of using
Milkweed (Eurphorbia Peplus) on sun spots (precancerous and due to be burnt off
by skin specialist)

I was really pleased with the results.

I am now attacking several dodgy looking moles on my legs.

The milkweed doesn't always react like it did on my face. It depends whether
you have any precancerous cells or cancerous cells. Otherwise it does nothing.
Please check that you aren't allergic to it before starting.

No they are both different to the one Tom uses Sheba.

Will just have to wait till I get home and take a pic, I can't find it anywhere on Google at the moment. Of Course would help if I knew what its proper name was.

Sorry to hear that CG, not good news. All the best with your next visit to the doc to get it all removed.

I see my doc next Thursday, mind you I'm still waiitng for a return phone call from yesterday.

Ma, the leaflet with the cream said it would go red and inflamed and ulcerate before peeling away, but this is ridiculous. Don't intend using it again. Would have been better if she had burnt them off like the last ones, came off a lot easier.

My mother and I both use effudix. My understanding is not to use it for more than 4 weeks at a time on any one spot. Can't find the tube in the van. It must be at home.

Had only got up to 3 weeks before I stopped the other day. Won't use any of the suggested plants until this has cleared up.
The top of my nose bled again this morning and all I had done was splash some water on my face.

Hope you are feeling ok Chris, it takes a bit out of your nerves when you hear the big C mentioned. Take care.

Won't be going outside at all today as temp is going to be 38 at least again today, trying to stay out of the sun.

Thanks everyone. I don't know what they've got planned for me, but I think it might be a night in rather than just a day surgery job.
See what the specialist says.
Quite frankly I thought I'd had enough of docs and scalpels after Cairns, but if these things have to go they have to go.
Too old to be vain anyway. I'll just have to grow a bit of hair over it instead of the usual short do.

Where abouts on the ear is it CG. My daughter had a mole on the top tip of her ear, it was a really funny colour, sort of green.
They took it off in the doctors surgery. I went with her as she was a bit scared at the time. Sent it away for testing and it came back clear.

I had a small biopsy taken 2 weeks ago when he removed a mole. It was just a scaly patch right on the top of the ear, outside the roll.
I scratched it when I was still in Cairns and it bled like a stuck pig. I scratched it again by accident since I've been in Adelaide. I was surprised, and a bit alarmed it was still there. So I had the Dr look at it. The result is it has to go.
I got a bit of a fright to be honest. Now I am a bit worried about it.

if anyone has any problems with medications prescribed by the doctor go to...www.mydr.com.au..you can look up all the drugs and side effects etc etc....this is the mims guide that doctorss use when they look up different drugs to see if you can take them..hope that helps

We have a weed here we call milk weed....looks nothing like those Sheba
