Is it worth it?

Does anyone have any recent info about Lake Galilee / Lake Dunn
and nearby areas.
We are thinking of adding it to our next trip in September after our
stay at Lake Theresa near Clermont.

Gday...

I was at Lake Dunn (and Aramac and Muttaburra) last August/Sept.

It is a very good place. Lake is full as a goog, plenty of space, brand new brick amenities block with hot showers and laundry. From memory it is $5/night non-power and $10/night for one of the limited power sites.

The road from Aramac is narrow - a definite sealed, single lane road with some typical potholes, couple of rough grids and occasional rough patchs but still good for an 80kph average with my big van.

Some photos attached for your info.

Cheers

John

Mike..

On your way out there - or on your way back -(or both)  call into the pub at Muttaburra..

They make the best hamburgers and steak sandwiches you'll find anywhere north of Victoria.

They are so good we camped on the river for an extra day so we could back for lunch again the next day.

Gday...

I can agree with that - up to a point biggrin

Did you try the Burger and Chips at the Nindigilly Pub ?? Luverly tucker and HUGE and only $8.50 on a plate with a knife and fork if ya wanted it.

Cheers

John

Thanks John.I'll take that food idea on board. It's funny how food standards can vary wherever you go.I remember heading up to a shearing shed near Booligal from Vic in the mid seventies.During a quick stop at Hay we placed our order for some grub.I soon made a quick exit after I saw 3 or 4 blowflies dancing over the meat in the display counter.Steak sandwiches never had the same appeal to me for many years after.
