Thanks Vic, yes I can vouch for Vic, we have met him and his wife a couple of times and can honestly say they are genuine and good people.

I've met Jonathan, Gubby, Travel Bug, Jules, Ma and Blue, Shadyandme...hope I haven't missed anyone...and all are genuine. Although sometimes I wonder about Jonathan wink ...joking! He's a larrakin!

Have met at least a dozen forum members and all are great people sharing our common interest. Hope to meet them all again and plenty of new ones. Just trust your own judgement.

I should just clarify a few things here. Firstly, I have no reason to doubt that the vast majority of people on this site are genuine, caring grey nomads who are exactly who they say they are. Our feedback has always confirmed that belief and those of you that have met up always seem to report positive experiences. That is not to say that there are not people who sometimes join who aren’t as straightforward. In terms of email addresses, we would strongly recommend that you never put these in your profiles and only reveal them to people you trust. This site has never, and never will, reveal the email addresses of members to third parties.
In terms of bannings, over the years we have had a handful of members who have tried to use this site for their own purposes and with their own agenda. When that has happened we have acted. This site was set up and as a place for genuine grey nomads and wannabe grey nomads to exchange advice and experiences and that is the way it will stay. If anyone has any concerns or issues on this or any other matter, please don't hesitate to send me a PM.
