I totaly agree from my own experience,i had a level 4 melonoma on my right shoulder which had spread to my lymph glands, since then i have had 4 opps so far and not to sure if i am out of the woods yet, will be going back to the doctor again, this has been going on for 18 months now.It is so scarey not knowing whats around the corner so please go to the doctor as soon as you can if there is something not right. If you knew what i have been through you will do it,i have seen so many doctors and hospitals all over australia and taken so many pills, one side of my body was so burnt with radiation you would have to see it to believe  I EXPRESS AGAIN SEE A DOCTOR. As I lay on the doctor's table having the second spot of Bowens disease cut off in the middle of this year, his remarks were : ' Get used to this because these are not the last' , ' can't find any normal skin on your arm, it's either freckles or damaged skin and not much else.

For the past 6 or so years my mother has had a 6 monthly trip into hospital to have spots burnt, scraped, cut and grafted. She comes out looking like a wounded soldier. Usually does about 15 -20 spots each time.

I hear what you're saying and I totally agree !!!!!!!!!!!!

Since my mother had a melonoma on her head and it was all sorts of problems, re: whether she could tolerate the anaesthetic, her heart, etc etc and it was so close to the brain, that from then on, because I too am 'thin on top' I ALWAYS wear a hat whenever I go outside. Thanks but no thanks, don't want one of those things!

I sympathize with you Goinsoon, and anyone else who has suffered from these nasties.

My Dad had half his nose taken off and a skin graft after they found skin cancer. That was the first of it. Over the years he had many many skin cancers cut out. Also Dad's neice had a Melanoma on her big toe. They had to amputate it, but secondary cancer ended up killing her.

Hence I am rather paranoid about my skin. I also wear a hat every time I go outside, and sunscreen is just part of my morning routine.

Thanks Beth, that is exactly why I posted it,luckily I got in early enough so have to go through anything too drastic.

SO EVERYONE - FROM BETH54 AND GOINSOON GET YOURSELF CHECKED AND TAKE PRECAUTIONS WHEN OUTDOORS
