Just thought I would let you all know that I had the dressing and splint taken off my hand today  it certainly feels wierd and very sore after doing the physio but hey I am getting there at least I can type for a little while with two hands now. Helena.

Helena - it is important to do the physio but also not to overdo it - rest appropriately.  I have just come from the physiotherapist, so am up on the advicebiggrin

Thanks Esmeralda I think I overdid it yesterday my hand is still badly swollen and I can hardly bend my wrist op was only done 3 weeks ago I am hoping that when the swelling goes down a bit it may be a lot easier thanks everyone for your concern and encouragement it means a lot. Helena
