Gday...

Thanks for the photos ... I assume this is Camps6 Site 524.

Very timely advice, I was looking for somewhere near there for a couple of week's time.

Cheers

John

Gday...

thanks JC - I am pretty sure it is it ... looks like a definite. I just been Googling (Maps) and I reckon my plans will include Sandy Point for a few days in a week or so.

Cheers

John

Camped there 2 weeks ago, great site, lots of places to camp, well off the main road.

It's a beautiful spot !

10 years ago before the roads in were upgraded, one would be able to "hide" from many of the passing travellers and still retain much of its anonymity ..

Jim .. it looks like you caught it pretty much deserted .. My last visit there a few years back .. I counted 84 vehicles .. yes .. very popular too with locals ..

Narrandera also has a free-camp which is convenient for an overnight stop too .. heading south .. halfway across the bridge section .. and turn left into a sports ground/camping area ..

happy travels Jim & Leonie !

I also stayed at Sandy Point... $2 for a hot showe at the Information Centre..water there too. If you need some mending done it's $ 10 to get pants hemmed at the Craft Shop. Very obliging town.
