Jayco Conquest wind noise

Hi - does anyone know how to stop annoying wind noise on a 2008 Jayco Conquest?   It only starts when I get to around 90kph and sounds like it is coming from somewhere on the front LHS - thought it might be from the mirror or windscreen wiper - but have eliminated both of those as a reason.  Help appreciated.

Are both the front windows firmly shut ?  If the glass is not right up, I get a noise that can some-times sound a bit "whistly".  The handle gets knocked down just the tiniest bit sometimes when getting out of the vehicle.

Took me a while to work out what was causing it, but I know the sound now.

Cheers,

xina.

Get a roll of good quality black tape and cover the join around your front window screen, will most likely fix the noise. This will happen when you get a new windscreen fitted and they do not use the correct profile rubber. Would apprietiate knowing if this works.

ps worked getting the jet noise out of mine, the alternative is to have the screen removed by a reputable firm and resealed however there is a risk of about 5% of them breaking the screen getting it out. Was quoted $55 for rubber and $150 labour + risk factor

never noticed it with ours , but then again i always had the radio on .
check your side mirrors are ok , maybe there could be something rattling inside them
the only thing i could suggest is get them to check the rubber seal around the passenger window..
could be abreak there some where letting in the noise??

Sorry Bob - meant to get back to you - have taped up the window but haven't had chance to try it on the open road - perhaps this weekend. Will keep you posted.  Think you could be right though - I'd already said to the wife that the screen looked a likely culpruit!!!

Hey Bob, guess what - taped up around the front windscreen, took it for a run yesterday and noise gone!!!!!  Was dreading driving over the Nullabor next month with that terrible wind noise, but can now relax.

So many thanks - much appreciated

Terry
