Home sweet home

Hi all!

After 2 years on the road Hylda & myself  have now been back home in Grafton for a month & so busy I have been unfortunately absentno from my favorite forum & friends who have managed to keep me entertained & informed over the years. w00t.gif

Home life seems strange house.gif but there is still much to do here to keep the wanderlust away for some time yet. We hope to do little trips when we get the urge to travel sprint.gif but no long ones, I think, for a few years.

I have been a bit lax in doing the last entry in our blogpc.gif but hope to do it soon before we forget what we did in our last month of travel. frustrated.gif

Happy & safe travels to everyone on the road.

Cheers

Jon & Hyldadate.gif

ps:I put in the emoticons just to bug the people that hate them..hehenana.gif

If you are anything like us you won't be home all that long before the call of the great beyond beckons and you will itch to get back on the road.

But then again we have never been away from home more than 5 months at a stretch.

We have been away from home since january and looking foward to going home for chrismas for around a month. Catch up with family and a few good mates but I am still as keen as to further our adventures. I reckon my wife will bring back a pallet full of our locally produced butter though.
cheers

The problem with another long trip is, I would have to move all the furniture back into the garage so we can rent the house again to cover the mortgage while we are away, this is not something I'm willing to tackle again for a few years yet so, small trips will have to be the go for a while.

We also need more money to afford the Tasmanian trip, which we havn't done yet as we want to be away for a few months for that one to make the expense of taking the caravan on the boat worthwhile.

I think trips that are up to a month or 2 long at the most will be our limit for some time but, we always have the last trips 3200 photos to keep us going...anyone want a slideshow night?? spin.gif

Cheers

Jon

Jon, if I lived closer I would certainly take you up on your offer of a slide night.  Would thoroughly enjoy it.

Thanks Jon.   Might be a couple of years though as next year is fully booked (and in the wrong direction from you) but then again, what is it they say, the best laid plans of mice and men etc.
