RE: TASMANIA

Hi,
I know a few of you have been in Tassie for a while but for those heading south.
In one of the Topics Friut and Veg 'pickings' came up. I have contacted a friend down there in Cygnet (SW of Hobart) she is an avid gardener. Her name is Kate Flint. She says she does not mind being contacted her blog is
http://www.networkedblogs.com/blog/vegetable_vagabond
her facebook is
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1055035732
I think facebook alows messages without being friends, not sure on that one, other wise maybe ask around in Cygnet, about the comunity garden, there are a group who help in the community garden and each other gardens and sometimes do mini tours.
All the best
Doug.

With quite a few of us either already here or heading over it might be nice if we could work out something where we can all meet for a cuppa.

To start, maybe if each of you put on this thread the dates you will be here and I will see if I can organise something if you would like me to.

We are here now and leave on the 26th February.

Everyone must be busy doing their own thing, as it should be, so hope to catch some of you somewhere around the great big island, and the little one too maybe.

Huonville, 30k south of Hobart has a new and wonderful caravan park.

Many animals and on the Huon River.

At Huonville, turn right at the roundabout.   aden

Hi Aden - nearly missed your first post - welcome to the site!!!! You have posted on a topic that is about a year old, Jan 2012 - thanks for the info rethe caravan park in Huonville - maybe you could repost under the "free and budget campsites" subforum on here - with pricing details etc.?  Sure to get some response then.  Happy travels.

Just ordered our stickers. We're going to Tassie on the 15 February for a couple of months. We have a Jayco advertising Cystic Fibrosis on the back wall. Please come over if you see us.

Hi - this is actually an old thread - why don't you try putting it in its own post - "new post" - or in the "general forum"?   We are in Tassy at the moment - going to a peace festival the last weekend in February 2013, in Wynyard - welcome to the site by the way.

Where you guys around the Longreach Qld area earlier this year?  Do you have a Harley that one of you rides?

No Jules, we haven't made it out of W.A. yet and we wish we had a Harley but no such luck.
