Tell Felicia where to go

(I've wanted to tell Felicia where to go a few times!).

Well, Felicia is finally ready for her shakedown trip.  Mum has graciously agreed to not go TOO far in case I need to drive and rescue her (from what, I don't know).

So....

Can anyone suggest a good spot to go for a couple of nights, no more than an hour or so drive from Brisbane?  Powered or unpowered site is fine, but would prefer to have amenities.  Also, something not too far from things to do would be lovely (Mum is insisting on a site that is walking distance to a drinking establishment, but we'll ignore her for now).

Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be Esk CP....it ticks all your boxes and some and is quite a lovely CP also.

Just a walk around the corner has you right in the middle of this quaint little town with lots to see and do including a local watering hole.

Hi Dave

Try this link http://www.bongareecaravanpark.com.au/ nice park right on the Bribie passage, loveley paved walk ways for Mum if she is into walking.

Not far from the supermarket and easy walking distance to the bowls club ( app 150 - 200metres) and nice coffee shops acros the road.

Regards Jim

My suggestion would be somewhere around the Wyvenhoe Dam or the Scenic Rim area where Jules lives. Either direction would be within the ks limit of where your mum would want on her first trip.

Hi guys, some good suggestions. Sounds like Esk might be the winner - sounds perfect. Jim, we might save Bribie for the next trip when things are a bit warmer and the girls can fully appreciate being near the water.

HW - the dams are definitely on the to-do list.

Hi Dave,

Was going to suggest Bongaree as well, lovely park right on the water, with the Bowls Club next door.

Have to say it was beautiful walking along the pasage this morning, but then every morning/day on Bribie is great.

Hey Richo Zoomtopz, where have you been?
Haven't seen or hear from you for ages.
Take it easy.

I'm sure that there'll be a report (I must get around to getting dearest Mother to sign up for her own account here!).
