Had three nights without power and although the batteries are holding out well have decided to stay in the Orbost Caravan Park listed in Camps6. The weather is bad, rainy and cold so I didn't push the batteries to perform without solar assistance.
Where are you meeting up with Billeeee??? You coming to Greens Lake in November?
Don't know when I will meet up with Billeeee but hope to do the G O R in tandem. I am moving faster than I expected and will probably be in Sale tomorrow and Sorrento later this week. Over the ferry and ready for the off by next week. Geelong would be a good place to meet.
If he can make it by then that will be fine. I expect to get to Greens Lake but it depends on how long it takes to get to Warrnambool.

OK Billeeee will go further than Sale tomorrow and make it to Sorrento by Tuesday. Expect to go across the ferry on Wednesday morning and can meet up on Wednesday.
Perhaps stay somewhere in or around Geelong that night, nominate where you will be and I will find you.
Just wondering why you all are down in the freezing, wet south when its so lovely up north? Just extending my stay in Darwin then will eventually wend my way down to three way, across to cloncurry, up to karumba and then on to the atherton tablelands. Well that's the "plan" at the moment but could change!
G'day John, pity the weather has been so dreary as Orbost and local area is very nice.
Beware on the trip as the revenue raisers are where you least expect to see them around Orbost and give the highway a lot of attention, especially on the road to Lakes Entrance. Have a safe trip.
Hi guys, I actually live in Geelong CBD and wouldn't mind meeting up if you didn't mind. I live in an apartment so can't offer powered parking but happy to meet you guys somewhere.
Am making good time today and am only 80kms outside of Melbourne, have decided to drive through and not to go via Sorrento. Should be in Avalon within the next couple of hours it is 1.00PM now.
Will access the site here before I get there so if you get this before, post where you are camping.

we will be setting off tomorrow (Tuesday) but plan to call on you first.
Bells Beach is first on the list, it is a long time since I lived in Torquay but have happy memories from a different life in 1972 when I surfed Bells.
Howdyeee boomers and all U excited Nomads, Salutations all U not so excited people,Well today started out ok, i woke up,was excited thinking, boy U have another day on planet Earth, got out of bed at 1045am, went for a wander around the camp , met a Free Spirit, named Bill, then John turned up ,the three of us was like a movie with Moe Larry, and Curly,trying to fix the Generator ....catch u all out there in the play ground,,,Billeeeeee

Love the "rimpossible" Billeee - have four grandsons who could do with just that!!!! Sprinkles all over the floor -don't know about the "twang" though!
