Just love your pic of the birds Billeeee with one hanging upside down and the birds either side looking down on it, did u take the pic or has it been photoshopped ?

You seem to be having an amazing time and go to some very interesting spots, how do you find them?

Hi all,

as Billeee said we met up at Trial Bay between Port Maquarie and Coffs Harbour for a couple of days and what a good time was had. As has been posted before Billeee is a character with plenty of stories to tell we just hung out and went for a long walk.

Anyone else in this area will be most welcome either for a call in or stay over for a $20 per night site fee.

John

G'dau Billee - good to hear from you - and that you are enjoying yourself down there - looks like the sun is shining - you have your sunnies on your eyes, not your head!!!
Did you meet up with your old mate at Murwillimbah?

Weather up here is a bit erratic - wind, had a bit of rain, hopefully ok for the weekend. Went to see Eric Bogle (of "and the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" and "Shelter" fame - who remembers him from the early 70's? Was a great show, really enjoyed it.

Anytime you are in the area, mate, get in touch, love to have another long chat!!

Take care - Keep in touch

Hey Billeeee - steamed cabbage is wonderful and so is raw. Cabbage is one of my favorite foods, so versitile and good for you and keeps so long. Blade steak is best with bone in like you cooked - oysterblade is that little fillet pocket in the 'J' bit . Chucking a couple of mushrooms in near the end and a dash of wine to catch the juice is always good and beer is great if you dont have wine. A big feed of cabbage is a good thing.

Hey Bill - not that cold in Victoria - just different! Are you intending to just head down the coast? Why don't you head over through NSW to Broken Hill, see Mungo NP, stay Mildura - great spot - down from there through western Victoria - down to the coast through Port Cambell, Warrnambool etc - head on east to the Great Ocean Road, look around the Ottways - climb the Ottway Fly - check out all the towns along the way - down to Queenscliff, cross ont he ferry to Sorrento (my home town) up through the Mornington Peninsula - head across from Frankston towards the hills, via Ringwood - up through Warburton, Healsville, then over to Yea - over to the King Valley - cheese, mustard, wine, olives etc - to Myrtleford, Porepunkah, Bright - 54k from the snow at Falls Creek - have friends with a caravan park at Porepunkah - Beechworth and all round that area -

Take it slow - enjoy what you see - eventually you will end up around Albury - can then head over towards Echuca and Gunbower

Sound like a tour guide don't I? But Victoria has a lot to offer - The Grampians in the west, fantastic - Ballarat, Bendigo, Castlemaine, Warrnambool, Portland -

Just enjoy - sit and absorb the atmosphere - find something new in every town you come to - never know what you will find!!

All this cabbage hype is making me very grateful I travel alone.
Don't chop it too fine, add to small amount of boiling water, a dollop of butter and garlic on the top until it's steamed through and serve.
Another is fry chopped bacon and onion with garlic than either stir fry cabbage in pan or add to steamed cabbage as above.
I hate soggy, overcooked, colourless, grey cabbage cooked to death.
