TOOWOOMBA

Anybody in the Toowoomba area towards the end of next week give a yell.  Travel Bug and I will be there and if you are going to be around let either of us know what day and we will organise things accordingly.

I could go up. I had made arrangements to go to Boonah to see Jules, but maybe she'd like to come up too.

Is Clifton too far out of your and Jules' way Beth?

Toowoomba's 'just up the range' from me.

No, it's actually about 1 1/2 to 2 hours for me, but I'm a regular visitor to Twmba, distance doesn't bother me.

When you travel around as much as us nomads do distance isn't a big factor is it.

biggrinYep I will be there Ma - will be good to put a "face" to the name - just need to get a time and place - I have suggested visitors centre in Toowoomba - but if you are going to be in Clifton, that is ok by me - probably about the same timewise for me anyway - possibly a bit further for Beth - anyway, have pencilled the date 1st September (Thursday next week) in my diary - will not make any other plans for that day - the more the merrier is my motto!!

I'm sure we will work it out Jules.   I will ring Pam about mid week and let her know where we are and then perhaps she can ring you.

Fine by me Elaine. I Google mapped,,,2hrs 20 minutes from my place, and my route will take me through Grantham.

I haven't been out to Grantham since the terrible flood disaster, so that'll be interesting, in a sad way.

As I was flitting around reading GN posts, unbeknowst,,,is that even a word or did I just make it up?,,, to me, my ex husband was trying to chat to me through gmail. That was weird. By the time I realized, he was gone.

Oh, well Beth, he will get back to you if it is important, I am sure. I think it is spelt "unbeknownst" - sort of a Shakesperean type word - that is if it is indeed a proper word.

unbeknownst

1848, vulgar formation from unbeknown (1636). No clear reason for the -st, but since 19c. this has become the dominant form.

Okay, so I'm using vulgar language.

Luckily, they're not really that big!

It's along the Tully-Hull Road, NQ.

We are in Warialda and heading slowly north to Nanango for the country music festival first week in September, so I guess we wont be too far away, will give you a shout when we get closer - Jim is heading south west from here
