I have a canvas shower bag, brass rose and i need to be able to filter river water so it doesn`t block the shower rose.
I am open to any ideas.
Thanks Mr Red.
Not seeing the unit I cant see where the filter material will go.
But as a suggestion . Try a layer or two or three of fibre glass flymesh, or shade cloth maybe. Or a piece of sponge. Even a green washing scourer will let water through.
I vote for the stocking or even a chux cloth as you pour the water into the warming container or shower bag. Gravy strainer or collander, depending on the size of the stuff you're trying to keep out of your shower. Sifting out crocodiles and barra is another matter.

watched people cleaning their 'milky' water (very fine clay particles) at Cue. They sprinkled a teaspoon of cement over the water in a 20 ltre bucket and a few hrs later it was crystal clear. Someone else told us alum does the same job.

Used to use pounded up egg shells to clarify my home brew .. worked a treat.
JUst had heavy rain here & the water tanks overflowed. Piles of dove poo (it floats) filtered out by the inlet mesh & ran all down the side of the tank.
My neighbour (the doves are there to feed on his chook food), suggests that I should thank him because as I only use the water for gardening I now have the added bonus of fertiliser infusion.
