My poor 2005 Jayco's fibreglass is crazing badly. I contacted Jayco in Melbourne, who asked me to send in pic's of the sides of my mobile home. Just received an email back, saying they can't help me, as he thinks its the fault of previous owner not maintaining the exterior.
Can anyone tell me what I should now do to repair this problem and as it gets worse will it let the weather into the structure of the walls through the little crazing cracks?

Have seen a few Jayco's around that appear to have the same problem. Did they tell you what the right maintenance should comprise of . I have a mate who uses the proper non abrasive F/G polish on his and it goes dull with a very short period. May pay to search this and other websites to see if anyone is having the same problem then you may get their fully and undivided attention.

I'd say ring a couple of caravan repairers and ask what can be done, or fibreglass repairers, some marine places may be able to give you some advice too. I know with my last fibreglass van I was advised to use marine fibreglass polish for upkeep, car polish has an ingredient that yellows fibreglass (ammonia I think it was).
I agree with you I would get it repaired as over time it may leak.

Do what the surfies do - wax it. I've always wondered what would happen to that fibreglass sheeting exposed to the elements, hot and cold, all the time. Now I know. Don't Jayco make some recommendations in the owners' manual somewhere? Have they made any recommendations since? Boat folk might have some clues if Jayco don't. Very poor after-sales service, yet again.
I guess A Vans will have the same problem.

Been useing that Autoglym product for the last 9 years.
There are other products out there for fibreglaass, so not all fibreglass vans have that problem, as Jayco says the previous owner did not look after it properly.

Interesting. Myrtles top above the pop top is fibreglass. Wondered what to use. Have used a bit of polish on a bit of the sides just to clean her up a bit.
It is a problem that happened on the fibreglass in the yrs 2004 to 2006. Jayco are well aware of it and are trying to brush you off.
I believe if you want to continue on it is a case of continually hammering them as it is not fit for the lifetime of the van which I believe is an "implied guarantee"
I have never heard of it on the sides but it is common on the sheet fibreglass on the ends and I had it explained to me that it was caused by the fibreglass being supplied rolled up rather than in sheet. The sides would be a different matter.
If that is the case then Blonderer needs to write to Jayco asking for them to repair the problem, pointing out that if they do not reply within 14 days the matter will be passed onto the consumer affairs dept in your state, telephone 1300 302 502 and seek advice.
Hi Blonder, spoke to a chap at Lawnton about 3 months ago and he had the same problem on the sides of his van, the only place there was none was in the area which was shaded by the arms of the roll out awning, when it was rolled up.
He rang Jayco and was asked how often he polished it and he said twice in 3 and a half years.
No warranty as the van had not been maintained as per the manual. He was told the book says every 3 months. He wasn't impressed. Sorry can't be of any help.
