Thanks for that Smokeydk. Looks like a handy little Gadget.

Don't forget LULU is on wheels Beth. Unless you have a health problem that won't let you push much, it should be reasonably easy to use I would think.

We have a 12ft van...weighs about 1,200kg....and the jockey wheel is great........cause it has a tyre like on car......I have a gravel driveway and it works Ok for me.....we bought ours second hand......was around $150....worth keeping a look out......also when you drop the attatched handle on ground it acts as a brake

Well, to lessen the chances anyway.

A cousin and I were chatting earlier on facebook, and were informing other rellies how we both have a looong history of hurting ourselves or breaking things.

So I don't think there's any hope of a remission from this 'unco' disease we have! disbelief

The last time I went to the Tablelands was to see my friend, Lesley and her son in Razzamatazz, Malanda the Musical. It was to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Malanda Theatre.

That song was part of it and you've just revived it in my head! It was great!

in relation to moving the van around when it is on the jockey wheel...... I have a piece of composite board (like really strong chipboard) about 18 inches square. That goes under the jockey wheel and thus it is always on a flat, smooth surface and is the van is easy to move, sideways, or even a bit forward or back. Our van is quite heavy, but like Lulu, is single axle and they are easier to move around.
We also carry a vehicle stand thing that we put under the A frame to reduce the weight and pressure on the jockey wheel, when staying anywhere for any length of time. Wind the jockey wheel a bit higher than needed, put stand under, the actual prop bit lifts up to almost that height, set it, and lower van onto stand. Leave jockey wheel in place - double surety - but without much weight on it. That means that my piece of board can be removed from the elements and put back while stand is still there.
Another good idea is to have little spirit levels - can buy in van shops - on your A frame. One goes crosswise, one lengthwise - great help in getting van level.
