LULU

I've just rung Hyundai,,,which I should have done before my purchase,,,to check that I can fit a 'poly air bag coil helper' to Lucy without voiding my warranty. Yes I can! That's a load off my mind.

An i30 sits a bit low anyway, so add 590kg of caravan and it's a worry, although it's way under the breaked tow limit of 800kg.

So here's a couple more pictures.

Looks good Beth - but I see what you mean about the bedspread!!!!!! Nice and light interior colours, was this a private sale? How did it feel when you towed it home?

Yes Jules, a private sale by way of Gumtree. He said he got lots of enquiries. As it was, the day I took Dan with me to inspect, someone else was there and had made an offer. But because I'd been the day before, he waited for us to decide and we made a counter offer a bit above the other bloke. That was very good of him to allow me first choice.

I was a bit nervous about towing her, but I took it slowly and carefully. The tricky part was then reversing at my daughters place to park her. Number 2 son was directing me, but I think he was just making me more confused.

Yes Lilly, I think it'll be perfect for me.

Yes - great for just you Beth - and you are short like me - I can stand up inside without putting the pop top bit up - handy when just stopping for lunch or a cuppa - as for men directing - huh! my s-i-l couldn't direct himself out of a one way street, let alone direct someone else!!!

I don't like that mouse Jon, the other one was better. He's too scary.

She looks great Beth.  Enough room without too much to tow.  You'll have a ball.

Cheers,

Sheba.

HW,
polyairs are little airbags that fit inside the coil springs on the vehicle. They can be inflated to a suitable pressure and then take some of the weight off the coils. We have them on our tow vehicle. When we are home, the driver lets some of the air out so the ride is not as firm.

Thanks all.

Today I've been to the Transport Dept to do the transfer, so she's all mine offically now. The lady on the counter asked me all about it, and was then just as excited as me!

Jonathon, don't worry, there will be a wine rack!

Thanks for the explanation on the polybags Wendy.

I have just had a set of air bags fitted to the rear of the tug yesterday, what a difference to the overall drive & ride. Will find out the difference when towing in a couple of weeks.

I'm pleased to hear that justcruisin. My brother and son suggested this was the way to go.

Yes, I'm thinking of that Milo.

Maybe one for the car for hooking up, and one for the rear of the caravan.
