Hi - I was talking to a chap who said he had all the campsites, caravan parks etc. listed in Camps6 on his GPS. He said it was loaded in by a friend of his. Does anyone know if you can load such data into your GPS in a bulk way, I.e., buy a loadable version to instal on a GPS? It would sure be handy!
I have those for the Garman nuvi 1490T they are a good idea BUT they only show the 30 closest sites from where you are, so cannot really select your spot for the night if its a long way away, and then follow gps.

I do not agree with this part of your post, in fact it is garbage.
All you do is look at your Camps6 book, note the number of the site you wish to camp, then on the Navigator find that site number from the Camps6 POI/Waypoint list for the State, and enter it as your destination ("go to").
Then follow the Navigator directions to the site, which can be hundreds of Km away, trusting "Karen" to keep you on the main roads for most of the way (that does not worry us).
Well thats how we use our Garmin Nuvi 760 and the Camps6 POI/Waypoints

perhaps I did not explain myself correctly, if I go to the camps poi and scroll down the list in any state, it only shows 30 wayside points from the place I am standing with the gps in my hand, you are correct and I can also input the co-ords from camps and go direct to anywhere in Aus.
I guess it may depend on where you are, and your unit, at the time you call up the Camps 6 State POI/Waypoints.
Here at home calling up the Vic Camps 6 I get 52 campsites (13 screens) ranging in distance from 27.1km to 102.8km away on our Garmin Nuvi 760.
If I want to go the campsite at Nyah Vic, on this screen I spell 333 (from the book) and up comes Nyah Recreational Reserve 311.5km NW away as the crow flies. I then tap that and the next screen that comes up with the route calculated indicates that the campsite is 369.6km, will take 4hrs 20min, and cost near $80 in fuel, and the Go button is there to start the trip.
Karen will then guide us right to the campsite, except she picks a dumb way for us to get out of Melbourne so to avoid all the recalulating the Navigator does not get turned on until we are about to hit the Calder Hwy on the outskirts of Melbourne.
No need to enter any co-ords if the campsite is listed in the book, although one certainly could.
BTW
Again at home if I call up the NSW POI/Waypoints again I get 52 campsites ranging in distance from 180 to 297km away but we are after NSW 834, a route of some 413.5km which Karen does flawlessly as we are on the right side of Melbourne.

Wombat darling you can pick any of the camps from the list by scrolling through or entering the number of the camp. Darling Jacko has the same model GPS. Wombat darling explore the menus more and seek and ye shall find all. Happy hunting darling.
