Yeah I know it was cold - we were at the Brisbane Caravan Expo and it was bitter - I was out on Moreton Bay at 0530 this morning and it was pretty chilly too, though fortunately without the wind we had yesterday...

My neighbour arrived home from Gladstone, Qld this morning. He left there at 6.30am yesterday morning. Said it was too cold to stop so drove straight through. He said lovely and warm in Gladstone, 3/4 hr down the road it started to turn cold and stayed cold for the remainder of the trip south.

So anyone going north at the moment might need to go at least north of Bundaberg to get some warmth.

In Darwin at the moment, on the radio they are complaining about the cold snap, 14min-26max. They are saying that they can't remember it ever being this cold. Locals walking around with a jacket. I don't really know what the problem is, walking around in shorts & thongs, only put on a t-shirt to get "dressed up" to go out. Lovely.

I'm in Rockhampton and it has been overcast and cold all day. About 17C I think during the day. Unfortunatley I'm heading south on my way back to Sydney so I guess it will only get colder.

Logan City, south of Brisbane...It's been about 10 degrees here in my granny flat all day. And I've been sneezing all day.

My heater has died and I can't handle another day of the cold. I'll be going to buy a new one tomorrow.

I think it must be cold everywhere. My sister in Cooloola Cove says it's cold, and my friend on the Tablelands says it's turned cold there too. My cousins out west too.

Ah. the joy of a combustion fire in winter.
Watching the football and having a hot milo.
So, who's free camping without power at the moment?

Hi Lilly ..

yes .. its been just nice .. and although overcast today its still about 27 inside at the desk .. when here last year, the wind was more of a problem ..

Since I was here about 11 mths ago, I've done the big lap .. but the most rain I've had on the vehicle since leaving here is about 3 mls .. have been able to just stay ahead of it all ..

I've been lucky ..

Jon

No longer called Global Warming after Europe experienced it's Coldest Winter on record last year, The Water Melon crowd now call it Climate Change, forgetting that the Climate has been changing since time immemorial no

I wish Marj. The wieght of it is the problem. At the shops I can probably get someone to put it in the car, but then have no way of getting it down the steps. Hoping number 2 son can do that for me tomorrow.

After it being so cold yesterday, I now have a head cold. disbelief But I couldn't stay home in bed as had to go up to Dan's for him to finish the fridge connections. So I spent the day on their couch, trying not to leave any cold germs around for them. It's grand-daughters 2nd birthday party tomorrow,,just family,,but the way I feel now, I don't know if I'll get there. I'm supposed to be heading off on Thursday.

So the car's finished, all's ready except me and my head cold!

Pretty cool today here in the Scenic Rim - but didn't stop us intrepid bowlers! Heading to Mackay Tuesday afternoon - hopefully bit warmer up there! May not be able to get online while there - Beth hope you are able to get away on Thursday - and Marj, great photo of you - don't have one of me currently - but if you google "secrets of the scenic rim" there is a group photo and I am in the middle with red hair!!

Cold, wet and constant rain here. We had a block of units built next door, and our fool council, in their infinite wisdom, had them install a different water waste system and shock horror, it doesn't cope in big rain. My yard is ankle deep and I am about to ring the builder and I am not a happy camper to say the least. disbelief

Been patient till now but.......frustrated.gif

Good luck with the water problem. In my experience, Councils can do some pretty stupid things. Hope it gets sorted quickly.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Today I was supposed to go to my son's for grand-daughters birthday, but just couldn't find the energy to even get out of bed. And there I stayed for most of the day. hmm

But other than stuffed sinus', I certainly feel a little more human this arvo. My body was telling me, I guess.

I don't have to do anything til Tuesday, so I reckon I'll just rest til then.

Just pulled into a "freebie" for the night.   It's 7ks East of Murrayville on the Mallee Highway in outback Victoria.

It's been a nice sunshiney day and the temperature has been reasonable.  Wouldn't have a clue what it was mind you, but it certainly is the warmest I have been since we left home, apart from being in front of the combusion heater at DeBe and Elbe's place that is.

The sky is very clear so might be in for a bit of "chill" in the morning
