lake elphinstone

Hi everyone

we are currently at lake elphinstone west of mackay

very nice place (free camping) but not a lot of fish (a few redclaw)

can anyone advise of any fishing options in the near vicinity as am reluctant to leave such a beautiful setting

regards

Go to Peter Faust dam, west of Proserpine. Big barras, and lots of redclaw.Van park at dam or just camp in car park. Also , Eungula dam at top of range is good for sooty grunter, but road up range in diabolical.Free bush camping at Eungula dam. Get suppies at Proserpine before going to dam.
