away at last

First day out and free parking just south of Biloela, 446 in Camps 5.  Lovely parking area where you can park well away from the road.  Views to die for.

Talking to folk on their way home and have come through three ways, Longreach and Emerald, say that after 3 pm have a job to get parked anywhere, lots of GMs heading north.  The great migration has begun.

Sounds perfect Stan, glad you are enjoying yourself.

Hope the buggars leave some room in July when we join you all. laughing.gif

Thats for sure Stan! So many caravanners heading north on the Stuart Highway, now joined by the ones on the Barkley highway, and Katherine is jumpin'!

We have had a few free-camps that were packed tighter than a caravan park, plus a couple that were peaceful, and caravan parks have all been busy too, since we left Pt Augusta.

Now thinking if we want to stay at a caravan park, we will have to book. Bugga! we prefer to travel without deadlines/bookings.

Hope everybody on the road is enjoying their trip as much as we are.
