A clickable Link would be easier Pete.  Don't ask me how this happened.  I have no idea.

The Link you typed in won't open as it is.  I don't think you "finished it".  I think it involves either clicking the Enter button, or the Spacer.

Cheers,

Sheba.

"My" Sampson at Temple Bay on Cape York, was at least 3' between the Scutes.  This one is still small compared to him.

Cheers,

Sheba.

The link worked ok for me.

What are "Scutes"?  Feet?  Legs?  Eyes?

The Scutes are the raised ridges that run longwise down the back.  Sampson measured at least 3 feet between them, from one side to the other.   His top jaw we estimated was 3 feet long again, and we found out some weeks later, that a good way to work out the length of the animal is to miltiply the length of the head by 7.

That tallied with what length we had thought him to be.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Doesn't the NT News have a rule that they must have a croc story in every edition? confuse

BTW:  Pete's link worked ok when I copied and pasted it into the browser's address bar.... if not familiar with how to make a link "clickable" check the Posting links topic in the Techies Forum.
